I told myself I would not get melancholy & I supposed I did ok, but privately as I approached the last crate of birds, the sun started to rise over the horizon and the fog rolled off the pond…. It was hard to not get sentimental.

What a great time, a great Era with great people.

We has so much fun at the last killing – we cut up and enjoyed each other’s company – knowing it would be our last as a team.

I will miss the days of Land Basket Farm Chicken Harvests - some of the most joyous days this farm has seen over the years.

So we are off…. Each of us to the next thing….to the next Season.

Be not sad..... Like October, seasons change & Life ushers in a new season.

Soak ‘it up.
